Synexus has appointed Jeremy Hickling as their Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management. With eleven years spent working in the pharmaceutical industry, the last five with PAREXEL, Jeremy brings significant, senior level experience to his new role. Synexus, based just outside Manchester has grown to become the world largest multinational organisation specialising in the recruitment of patients and the running of trials at its own dedicated research centres.
Michael Fort, Synexus’ Chief Executive, is delighted that Jeremy has joined the company and is looking forward to his involvement in driving the company’s growth during 2010: “We had a very successful and exciting 2009, culminating in our acquisition of ClinPharm in Germany. What is important now, with Jeremy on board, is that we continue to expand our business development by demonstrating to a wider audience how we can help pharma, biotechs and CROs reduce costs and speed up clinical trials.”
Jeremy, a chemistry graduate, was previously a senior director within the late phase PACE group for leading CRO, PAREXEL where he was responsible for key projects and relationship management, study design and strategy. Prior to this he worked as the Head of UK Planning and Operations for Biogen Idec Inc.
Commenting on his new role Jeremy said he was looking forward to the challenges ahead and pleased to be joining such a dynamic organisation: “I’ve been very fortunate in my career to date, to work for some of the best organisations in the pharma industry. The opportunity to work with Synexus now gives me the chance to be involved with a company that is not only growing rapidly, but is also making real changes to the clinical trials industry and I am keen to be a part of that and to demonstrate the real benefits the Synexus model offers to pharma and CRO clients alike.”
