Healthcare Education Services is pleased to announce successful completion of assignments for US based clients requiring oncology training for their teams in the Asia-Pacific Region including China. Projects include an Overview of Oncology & Oncology Trials for a global pharmaceutical company and a live webcast Overview of Cancer for a leading biopharmaceutical company whose focus is to find new and inventive methods of treating patients with cancer.
Healthcare courses are led by expert faculty who are esteemed practising physicians; Healthcare is renowned for its high calibre programs and training courses are presented world-wide.
An Overview of Oncology & Oncology Trials took place in Beijing, China. Taught by experts from Europe and the US, it provided a comprehensive introduction to oncology and an explanation of how oncology trials differ from those in other therapy areas. Crucially it was delivered successfully to benefit an audience with varying degrees of existing knowledge and job functions ranging from clinical trials manager to medical writer.
Healthcare’s Education Services Director, Valerie Smith said, “Our US client required top class training for their sites within Asia. Leading physicians were selected from our expert faculty network and chosen for their outstanding knowledge as well as their ability as communicators and teachers.” A further US client required a live web cast to provide an Overview of Oncology and to reflect oncology treatment in Asia. Against challenging timelines Healthcare effectively delivered a series of live web cast presentations to an audience from seven countries throughout Asia. The sessions were presented by a faculty comprising practising expert physicians from Europe and included question and answer sessions. Additionally, a recording was made of the webcast and DVDs of the event were supplied for future virtual oncology training.
“Healthcare is delighted at the success of the project,” said Alex Temple, Operations Director, Healthcare Education Services, “…the client has confirmed the web cast truly met the company need and the DVD recordings have been such a huge hit that there has been a succession of reduplications.”
