Science Warehouse, one of the fastest growing companies in the e-business sector, is continuing to celebrate rapid growth and expansion despite the tough trading conditions facing the public and private sectors. Science Warehouse has added ten new members of staff over the past few months, to support a number of contract wins and extensions.
The new recruits extend the company’s capability in both software development and client support and ensure the company continues to provide a first class service for existing and new customers. Charles Watson, Implementation Consultant at Science Warehouse, who recently joined the client delivery team, said: “Since joining the company in November I have had responsibility for implementing our procurement solution for new customers smoothly and on time. A big part of my role is to also ensure our existing customers continue to receive the level of quality service they have come to expect.”
Other operating highlights for Science Warehouse include new strategic partnerships which have opened up significant new market opportunities both in the UK and globally. One of these is with a catering system management software provider, Caternet. The partnership with Caternet will enable Caternet customers across all sectors including restaurants, hotels, contract caterers and care homes to bring spend under control not just for catering but across all spend categories – from office supplies to facilities management and travel.
Steve Kerridge, Managing Director, Science Warehouse, said: “The last year has been a challenging one for many businesses and organisations and as our recent survey showed cutting costs is the main procurement priority of 2012. Our solutions help organisations to deliver and embed savings in these tough economic conditions. With a rapidly expanding customer base it is important that we recruit the right people into the team to support our growth. The raft of new appointments will ensure our customers continue to benefit from high levels of support and product innovation and fully realise the benefits of our spend management and cost control system.”
