Amdipharm is an emerging global pharmaceutical enterprise comprising a series of companies operating internationally and in the UK. Our aim is to make essential prescription medicines available to meet real clinical need, but which may no longer be a priority for research based pharmaceutical companies. With many large companies already focusing on disease areas affecting large numbers of people, such as heart disease, asthma and diabetes, Amdipharm aims to address the needs in niche therapy areas.
In 2008 only 6 years after launch, Amdipharm's sales were over £120million. Through acquisition of further products we aim to double this figure in the next few years.
Amdipharm now has a portfolio of over 100 products and a presence in more than 100 markets worldwide.
Because we rely on people to deliver our continuing success, new career opportunities regularly become available. Whilst promotion from within provides an excellent opportunity for developing our people, our desire to recruit the best means that we have opportunities to offer to those seeking a challenging and more dynamic working environment.
Not for Amdipharm the frustration of long lines of communication often associated with the larger multinationals controlled from the USA or mainland Europe. Our lean structure and domestic control ensures that communication throughout the Company is rapid and, if necessary, face to face.
“Recruit the best and set them free”, a quote from Richard Branson sums up our philosophy. Our entrepreneurial culture will appeal to individuals who want to put into action their own ideas and stand by their results. We encourage our employees to pursue the career path that best suits their natural talent and skills and if this means changing departments and/or direction we will always try to facilitate the change. We aim to provide excellent training together with structured learning and development opportunities to enable people to get the most out of the stimulating and challenging working environment.
At Amdipharm we recognise the dynamic nature of the global environment in which we operate. This being so, we are always receptive to new ideas and initiatives from any source that will further our objectives. Our culture is a commercial one, but one in which patient needs and patient safety are paramount and where problem solving and creative thinking are in high demand.
Amdipharm’s global perspective is reflected in its workforce. Diverse backgrounds, experience and origins all add to the fertile melting pot that are the driving force behind the Company.
The rate of growth that we are generating means that the one constant at Amdipharm is change. As acquisitions progress and come to fruition, product ranges and markets can change rapidly and so too can the infrastructures needed to support them.
Our products present us with many technical and commercial challenges, but solving these is what our business is about and it is highly rewarding. You may be the hungry professional we need in any one of our diverse and growing teams. See our current vacancies and if there is nothing there that attracts you then call or email our recruitment department for the ‘coming attractions’.
Amdipharm is a global pharmaceutical enterprise comprising a series of companies operating internationally and in the UK. Established in 2002 it has grown, through acquisition of established brands, to reach a turnover in excess of £120million in 2008. Amdipharm's strategy is to add value to acquired legacy brands and promote clinically significant products that may have previously been a low priority in the portfolios of larger companies. The continuing programme of acquisitions will see the above turnover double in the next few years.
Currently Amdipharm has a portfolio of over 100 products and boasts a presence in more than 100 countries truly justifying its global claim.
The UK office employs specialist teams focussing on the transfer of acquired products to the Amdipharm portfolio. The teams are broadly split into Technical, Regulatory and Commercial functions, reflecting the specific nature of Amdipharm's business and the process of transferring products and licences to a new owner. Amdipharm also has a Medical function which, as a consequence of the maturity of its brands, has its main focus on Medical Information & Drug Safety.
