Job Summary:

We are looking for a Global Project Manager to project manage the implementation of real world data collection projects for pharmaceutical industry clients in an international setting in accordance with company policies and procedures and SOPs.

We are looking for a Global Project Manager to project manage the implementation of real world data collection projects for pharmaceutical industry clients in an international setting in accordance with company policies and procedures and SOPs. More specifically the role will involve oversight of centre recruitment, ethical/contractual approval, data collection and data cleaning for projects across countries. Managing projects to complete within timelines and to budget will be a critical success factor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project manage global real world studies and drive operations in order to deliver to agreed client timelines and budgets
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with international partners and clients to ensure understanding of objectives and timelines
  • Provide strong leadership of cross functional teams to support effective project management. The cross functional team will include; management consultant, local country CRAs and project managers, data analyst, data manager and scientific consultant
  • Provide support to international CRA teams throughout projects with regards protocol, therapeutic area and study procedures and SOP training
  • Manage and track financial information for all countries
  • Ensure project delivery standardization and consistency across countries
  • Organise and keep oversight of local country teams to obtain appropriate ethics approvals and negotiation of local hospital contracts
  • Oversee, set up and thereafter ensure maintenance of central and local country project files
  • Track project activities and provide regular communication to clients and project teams
  • Develop data collection and communication guidelines to ensure consistency between researchers working on projects to enable effective data cleaning process

  • Experience, qualifications and essential skills required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or RN in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience of working in healthcare, either in the NHS, a CRO or Pharma industry
  • 18 months experience either as a senior CRA or project manager in a global setting, with experience of managing a cross functional team
  • Previous experience of non-interventional research studies
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory approval process for non-interventional research studies and general oversight of processes outside of UK
  • IT literate – working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in written/spoken English
