Job Primary Functions

We have a great job opportunity for an expert Senior Principal Statistical Programmer to join our highly skilled Programming department, either home or office based anywhere in Europe.

You will be trusted to lead a global team of programmers (EU, US, Australia) who are responsible for delivering SDTM-like data for a large portfolio of Phase I-IV studies.  As the Project Manager, you will plan and schedule your team tasks, assign priorities, oversee their day-to-day execution, and monitor progress to ensure risks are minimized and timeliness, quality and budget are met.

This is a client-facing role: you will have the opportunity to act as primary customer interface and to represent our programming function at client meetings.  You will also present status updates at Covance Senior Management meetings.

You will be an essential Subject Matter Expert for the team, and so will play a meaningful role in polishing your team skills by crafting training programs (especially CDISC, SDTMs, and complex macros).

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient in CDISC, SDTMs
  • Previous CRO experience is preferred but not essential
  • Previous project management experience advantageous
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Cooperative, self-motivated, with a can-do attitude
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standard
  • Must be fluent in English language (both verbal and written) 
  • Candidates must have experience of working as a Statistical Programmer in a Biotech, CRO or Pharma company within Europe
