Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a UK Head of Sites to provide operational leadership, direction and accountability for our Site Managers across the 9 UK locations.

Reporting into the UK Country Manager, this role will be instrumental in supporting the growth of the business through identifying best in class system and process requirements to sustain and improve delivery.

Leading by example, in accordance with our values, this exciting and challenging opportunity will be responsible for ensuring that there is a compliant, consistent  working environment through robust implementation and oversight of  standard operating procedures and work instructions. Ultimately this will ensure patients remain at the forefront of everything we do. 

The Role

  • Provide leadership and direction to Site Managers with accountability and responsibility for their performance, attainment of objectives and efficiency
  • Ensure operational enrolment targets are achieved
  • Support the growth of the business through identifying best in class, practice, system and process requirements and underpinning the infrastructure for delivery
  • Support and lead  your team in the delivery of, quality framework projects and strategic growth projects to enable sustained business growth and their own business growth and development
  • To work in collaboration with regional team to look for opportunities of  site growth through M&A and organic growth in your country
  • Ensure all direct reports have clear direction, accountabilities, levels of authority and job briefs.
  • Monitor site operational team progress against individual targets at planned intervals and give constructive feedback (regular reviews)
  • Ensure the correct structure and roles are in place within sites in order to deliver business requirements, according to global alignment guidelines
  • Ensure regular site meetings to ensure clear communication channel providing both business and site information
  • Lead by example, acting in accordance with our values, developing and coaching your team with the goal of being a high performance group.
  • Ensure quality and patient safety are at the forefront of all activities through review and interpretations of audit reports, quality statistics and operating procedure robustness.

The Person

In order to be considered for this strategic role the ideal individual will require the following - 

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (6+ years experience in clinical trials) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership  skills with ability to function as an effective and respected partner to management and clients
  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge, skills, and expertise to communicate and assist site managers and employees to understand business strategy and business decisions
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Good level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity
  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
