Compass Associates are delighted to have partnered with a industry leading specialist consultancy that provide expert solutions to the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences sector.  As a trusted solutions provider for many of the world's largest pharmaceutical and biotech organisations, our client is looking to expand its capabilities by adding a Senior or Principal level Statistician to its Consultancy team in the UK.

The Role

Based on site with our clients Biometrics team, near Oxford, our we are looking for talented Statisticians who have had a broad yet detailed background working with clinical trials as a Project Statistician.  We are looking for experts who are able to work independently on projects, whilst also providing best in class consultancy, who are able to form trusted relationships and become the go-to partner for all aspects of the client/consultancy relationship.

This is a hands-on technical role that is ideal for an experienced Statistician who is looking to progress their career but is frustrated by only line management roles being an option.  While this opportunity can lead to people leadership, the core of the role is project and relationship focused where you will be able to provide expert guidance and contribute to best in class execution of clinical projects.

In this varied role, you will regularly perform the role of Project Statistician, and as such you will need to be happy to undertake SAS Programming as required.  This is likely to consist mainly of QC work, and building programmes to check analysis datasets and TFLs.

Our client is happy to consider applications from candidates who are looking for a role that is partially home-based, and for the right person, 2 days working remotely could be available.

Required Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience;

  • Proven successful track record working as a Project Statistician, working in clinical trials in the pharma / CRO industry.
  • Strong familiarity with a range of Statistical techniques and methodologies, that are applied in the analysis of clinical data in clinical trials.
  • Excellent SAS Programming skills, with familiarity with QC of SAS data sets and experience reporting and analysing data derived from clinical trials.
  • Statistically qualified (i.e. BSc / MSc (preferred) in statistics)

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary, and a package you would expect from a specialist service provider within the Life Sciences sector.  If you are interested in finding out more about this role, please click apply now, or contact David Jolley today for a confidential discussion.
