At Roche, our Business Continuity Management System is considered industry

leading and this is reflected in the fact that we have been fully ISO22301 certified since 2016.  You will be in charge of maintaining Roche's ISO22301 compliance and will work to continually improve and develop our Business Continuity Management capabilities, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, managing external suppliers and engaging with our global Business Continuity organisation.

As the subject matter expert for the UK and Ireland affiliate you will be responsible for the full enterprise risk encompassing providing consulting advice to the Organisation on any potential risks to the Company, its People, the environment, and everything and anyone affected by what we do.  

As a member of the Company's Compliance Committee, a key Governance body,  you will be responsible for setting and delivering the risk management strategy, policy and processes for the UK and Ireland Affiliate -  in alignment to the Global Risk Strategy - including strategic, commercial, IT, hazard and operational risks.  In this critical role, you will have oversight of all risk management activities in the business including direct ownership of Information Security and corporate risk registers. 

In addition to this, you will be on call and responsible for Emergency & Incident Assessment as well as accountable for driving the right level of response. 

Overall, you will embed a culture of risk based thinking and practice in our daily business operations while fostering a business environment which stimulates opportunities to innovate and succeed.

Who you are

You have built a solid track record in a senior Risk and/or Business Continuity role held in a large/blue chip organisation or specialised consultancy firm. 

You possess a degree or equivalent level of education,  preferably related to risk management or a business relevant degree with an additional risk qualification (e.g.: IRM Diploma in risk management).  You are a member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) or working towards this, or equivalent (e.g.: DRII CBCP).

Knowledge, skills and previous experience:

  • Experience of managing ISO Standards; audit qualifications are a plus
  • Experience of crisis situations as a subject matter expert or otherwise as part of a crisis management team
  • Audit qualification is a plus
  • Experience of managing large/complex projects
  • Experience in the Healthcare Industry advantageous but not essential

  • The ability to define strategic priorities and work to tight deadlines whilst driving objectives and change
