We are looking for an experienced Field Engineer in the medical - equipment field, to successfully deliver technical service across a wide portfolio of medical equipment at Baxter and customer sites. We are looking for a result-orientated candidate to cover the South-West region of England (Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, Southampton and Plymouth)

Description 

We are looking for an experienced Field Engineer in the medical - equipment field, to successfully deliver technical service across a wide portfolio of medical equipment at Baxter and customer sites.

We are looking for a result-orientated candidate to cover the South-West region of England (Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, Southampton and Plymouth).

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and installing machines at Baxter or Customer sites 
  • Efficiently diagnosing faults and repairing machines, servicing a broad range of machines
  • Providing emergency cover and undertaking emergency maintenance on site contributing to the overall team capacity 
  • Completion of detailed service reports recording all required information for all work undertaken. 
  • Maintaining accurate stock records for all inventory held and managing inventory levels to deliver a high first time fix rate 
  • Maintaining complete monthly reports to record time spent on activities not captured on service reports 
  • Providing support and coaching to customers where required
  • Able to communicate in an authoritative and professional manner, as you will be dealing with equipment based in hospitals , able to deal with senior stakeholders and nurses
  • Provide specialist information to support tender submissions for sales as well as technical service when requested 
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a rapid response environment 

 

Qualifications

  • Electro-mechanical engineering background supported by a technical qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC)
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer (Medical industry preferred)
  • Experience of working in a highly customer driven organisation 
  • Full UK driving license
