As the Safety Surveillance Lead you will provide subject matter expertise in the context of safety surveillance, collaborating in a cross functional setting and leading process improvements, implementation of tools, strategies and technologies for holistic safety surveillance including signal detection and management.

As the lead in this process you will evaluate and implement new trends within industry in relation to safety surveillance, develop deep expertise and a network within and outside the organisation, providing subject matter expertise and actively sharing this knowledge.

This role will suit someone who understands the practical applications of drug safety related compliance principles and theories incl. risk management and safety signal detection and management, who can apply theoretical principles to assess and understand signal detection methodologies and understand and assess limitations of methodologies and data sources.

The Global Safety Surveillance/PV team have always been seen as innovators within this organization and have developed a deep expertise in signal detection and safety surveillance methodology and statistical methods, providing subject matter expertise related to these topics when required.

Experience

 Bachelor’s or Masters degree is required.  

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in biopharmaceutical industry with a proven and successful track record in at least one of the following areas: biopharmaceutical clinical development, risk management, pharmacoepidemiology or pharmacovigilance.
  • Able to apply theoretical principles to assess and understand signal detection methodologies and understand and assess limitations of methodologies and data sources
  • Understands practical applications of drug safety related compliance principles and theories incl. risk management and safety signal detection and management
