New public service announcement highlights the advanced pediatric care available at the hospital

MONTRÉAL, Nov. 22, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - For the past two years, Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadiens has been visiting with patients and families at Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Canada and learning about the advanced orthopaedic care available. During a recent visit, Gallagher worked with one of the hospital's patients, Kaleb, to film a new public service announcement (PSA) to highlight the hospital's commitment to caring for children with orthopaedic conditions and bone and joint disorders.

The PSA will air across Canada and shines a spotlight on the hospital as a place of hope and healing for children with orthopaedic conditions. Kaleb and Brendan also discuss Shriners Hospitals for Children as a place where children overcome disabilities and achieve their dreams. Kaleb and Brendan remind the public that the advanced medical care provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Canada could help a child in their community.

"The kids and their families are why I love coming to the Canada Shriners Hospital," Gallagher said. "Shriners Hospitals for Children does amazing work. They rebuild bones and limbs, they help children with spinal deformities and other conditions to be the best and happiest kids possible, reaching their full potential. The kids are amazing, courageous and inspire me every day."

Gallagher visits patients and their families at the hospital four to six times a year. "Brendan is generous with his time and strives to please patients," said Jacques Boissonneault, administrator of the Canada Shriners Hospital.
