NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has received the highest level of recognition for urgent care centers—an accreditation from the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). Of the approximately 8,100 urgent care centers in this country, only 545 have attained UCAOA's accreditation.

Expanding rapidly across New York with 40 centers today and several more openings scheduled over the next few weeks, Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care proves its commitment to the highest quality of care, patient and employee safety, as well as the best possible clinical outcomes through this prestigious distinction.

"It is an honor to be recognized by the UCAOA for the innovative healthcare partnership we've built with Northwell Health," said Todd Latz, CEO of GoHealth Urgent Care. "It is also a testament to our patient-first promise. I am extremely proud of our team and the passionate care they deliver to our communities each and every day."

UCAOA accreditation affirms Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care's commitment to putting its patients first. Patients who visit Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers enjoy effortless experiences through online check-in and pre-registration, best-in-class providers and a welcoming culture that is seamlessly integrated into the broader continuum of care in their communities. The UCAOA performed a rigorous review and survey of Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care's practices, policies and procedures, validating the urgent care company's devotion to its patients.

"We congratulate the Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care team for this significant achievement," said Laurel Stoimenoff, CEO of UCAOA. "UCAOA accreditation demonstrates commitment to your patients, team members and communities. We appreciate Northwell Health-GoHealth's continued leadership and dedication to the highest levels of clinical quality and patient safety."

"We always strive to improve the health and quality of life of those we serve within communities across New York, and this designation is a gratifying acknowledgement that we're providing patients with convenient and immediate access to the highest quality care," said Adam Boll, vice president of operations at Northwell Ventures.
