Posted on: 16 Feb 18

According to the research published in Journal of Sexual Medicine, men who exercise the most remains sexually active even in older days. A study published in Journal of Sexual Medicine stated that physical exercise and erectile dysfunction are directly related.

A study conducted on 295 men who provided all the information of physical activity level, ability to have erection and orgasm, quality and frequency of erection and all the information related to overall sexual activity concluded that men who involved themselves in the physical exercise had increased metabolism and higher sexual function score based on indifferent to race.

Researchers have also reported that people who perform strenuous exercise for 2 hours, moderate exercise for 3.5 hours and light exercise for 6hours a week had a better sex as compared to other people. Men who do not perform this exercises had a lower sexual score. Diabetes, older age, past or current smoking and coronary artery disease are the factors which contribute to lower sexual function.

First, the research only included white men which stated that exercise and erectile dysfunction are linked. Senior author Adriana Vidal of the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute said that now the studies are done on a radically diverse group or patients who concluded the link between benefits of exercise and improved sexual life.

Researchers also concluded that person performing physical exercise moderately or vigorously for 30 minutes had reduced the risk of erectile dysfunction.

Many of the studies stated that not only including physical exercise but cutting down alcohol and quitting smoke also reduce the risk of erectile dysfunction.

A study from the University of West in the United Kingdom stated that pelvic exercise treated 40% of men to regain the erection. This exercise also helped 3.5% of men to improve the erection problem. Additional research also suggested that pelvic exercise can also be used to treat erectile dysfunction as well as other pelvic health issues.

Nowadays doctors suggest to buy generic viagra as a cure for this disorder.  The success rate of this pill is more but using medication can help you to only treat the disorder and not cure it. This is the reason why researchers suggest exercise.
