WARREN, N.J., Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- GSK Consumer Healthcare and FLONASE® Allergy Relief, today announced its partnership with Houston Astros champion baseball pitcher Justin Verlander, to educate fellow allergy-sufferers on the importance of pre-season prep for striking out symptoms, before they hit.

For Justin, the start of the baseball season can be a challenge on and off the field as it also marks the start of allergy season. The baseball field is full of allergy triggers that Justin has struggled with his whole life. When Justin starts training for his first big game of the season, he also starts training for allergy season so that he can give 100% and be greater than his symptoms.

"Like most allergy sufferers, I've tried treating my symptoms with pills, but would always find myself really congested – I always felt like I was trying to play catchup on my allergies. That's when I started using FLONASE – a non-drowsy allergy nasal spray. FLONASE provides me with more-complete relief, so I can focus on the game," said Verlander.

In partnership with FLONASE, Verlander has created an online documentary series about his pre-season training, featuring his father, who instilled in him the importance of preparation for a successful athletic career – a lesson Justin also applies to his struggle with allergies.

"I really enjoyed creating these videos with my dad – he's always pushed and inspired me to do as much as possible to prepare for the season," said Justin.

FLONASE works directly in the nose to relieve sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, a runny nose – and nasal congestion, which most allergy pills don't relieve.

Head to to watch Justin's videos and learn how he strikes out his allergy symptoms.
