SAN ANTONIO, March 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Acuity Hospital of South Texas (AHST) is pleased to announce that Tammy Holland has been named chief clinical officer.

As chief clinical officer, and a member of the executive leadership team, Holland will be responsible for the quality and appropriateness of all clinical services and care provided. She will also focus on quality patient care and safety.

Holland, who is a registered nurse and holds a certified emergency nurse (CEN) certification, is held in high regard within the medical community. She brings with her 18 years of clinical expertise.

She is a seasoned clinician and trainer, who possesses strong leadership skills and thrives on mentoring others to provide the best clinical experience."

Tammy's experience includes serving as a trauma nurse and clinical nurse educator for the emergency department, outpatient services, and the director of emergency services. She began her long career as a registered nurse, working in a burn unit.  

Holland received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Burn Association, the Texas Nurses Association, and the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives.

Acuity Hospital of South Texas is conveniently located in downtown San Antonio, and serves the city, the Texas Hill Country, and the Rio Grande Valley.
