Posted on: 03 May 18

RALEIGH, N.C., May 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syneos Health™ (Nasdaq:SYNH), the only fully integrated biopharmaceutical solutions organization combining a CRO (Contract Research Organization) and CCO (Contract Commercial Organization), today announced that Amy J. France, Vice President, Finance and Kellie Malloy, Executive Vice President, Clinical Solutions will be honored by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). The honorees will be recognized today at the annual HBA Women of the Year (WOTY) award luncheon in New York City for their dedication and contributions to the healthcare industry.

“At Syneos Health, we’re committed to developing women leaders and exceptional talent,” said Alistair Macdonald, Chief Executive Officer, Syneos Health. “We’re thrilled that two of the brightest solutions-oriented leaders in our business are being recognized alongside the best in the biopharmaceutical industry.”

HBA is a global nonprofit organization comprised of individuals and organizations from across the healthcare industry committed to furthering the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. Each year the organization celebrates women leaders across the life sciences industry through their “Luminary” and “Rising Star” award program at the WOTY luncheon.

Syneos Health leaders will be recognized this year in both the Luminary and Rising Star categories.

  • Luminary: The Luminary award distinction recognizes women with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry who serve as role models in their companies, actively mentor and support others careers and serve as examples of transformational leadership.

Kellie Malloy, Executive Vice President, Clinical Solutions: Kellie’s leadership, focus on quality and clinical trial expertise has allowed her to drive significant growth with her key customers. Her approach and methodologies for operationalizing studies have been recognized as a model for CRO delivery. Kellie has also infused her life-long passion for volunteering into her leadership efforts, sparking many Syneos Health community activities with New Jersey-based charities.
  • Rising Star: The Rising Star recognition honors women in the first 15 to 20 years of their professional careers who contribute significantly to their organization, exemplify leadership and serve as an example of top talent.

Amy J. France, Vice President, Finance: Amy plays a pivotal role in high-profile accounting functions. During her tenure, she has spearheaded the adoption of controls in two of the most complex areas of accounting – revenue recognition and business technology systems. Most recently she worked to establish a new revenue standard and helped to bring together the two existing standards from INC Research and inVentiv Health prior to the Company’s merger.

“Amy and Kellie embody a collaborative spirit that Syneos Health brings forth to solve some of our customer’s biggest challenges. These women work across their teams and across disciplines unlocking creativity, innovation and new solutions for our customers,” said Lisa van Capelle, Chief Human Resources Officer, Syneos Health.

To further the discussion around the importance of women’s leadership in the life sciences industry, the Syneos Health Communications office in London is hosting a live feed of the WOTY luncheon, followed by a panel discussion focused on leveraging cross-sector experience to transform life sciences.

Syneos Health has been a member of the HBA for 17 years, supporting employees’ access to local and national professional development, mentoring and career boosting tools.
