PITTSBURGH, July 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The use of resistance bands has long been popular for exercising various muscles of the body. Now however, an inventor from Matteson, Ill., has applied this same concept in an exercise tool that specifically targets hands and fingers.

He developed a prototype for X STRESSOR to provide support and resistance training for people with hand and finger conditions and injuries. As such, it not only helps strengthen muscles and tendons, it also aids in restoring lost range of motion. Other appealing features include convenience, effectiveness and an affordable price. It is also safe, comfortable and easy to use. In addition, its simple design minimizes production costs.

The inventor's work experience inspired the idea. "Many people face the common issues of numbness and tingling in fingers and hands from using hand tools or repetitious activities like piano playing and typing, he said. "I tried this invention on myself and found it alleviated these symptoms."

The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
