As part of our expansion we are strengthening our market access capabilities and have an incredible opportunity for a Health Economics professional to join us as our Payer Economics & Access Lead.


Key accountabilities will include:


  • Providing Strategic Payer Economics input to health economics modelling, including modification/adaptation requirements for various country markets, whilst applying knowledge of future trends in health economics to understand and influence development plans for evidence and model generation
  • Provide support on value proposition/global value dossier development and determine outcomes and evidential strategy in partnership with medical and regulatory teams
  • Advise at a portfolio, product and country level the health economics approaches that would optimally support the value proposition, based on thorough understanding of the development and lifecycle management of a product
  • Establish, implement and manage a process for the collection of local requirements for health economic models across countries and regions; establishing processes for the adaptation of the global health economic models provided to meet their requirements
  • Represent Market Access externally through regulators/HTA authorities, working in close collaboration with key stakeholders


Candidate Requirements:

To excel in this role you will be a Lifesciences or Business/Economics graduate, ideally with a further degree (e.g. MBA, MPH, MPA). With significant pharmaceutical commercial experience, including a minimum of 5years of market access experience across International markets, you will also have a strong track record in developing global pricing, reimbursement and access (PR&A) strategies and influencing PR&A negotiations across these markets.

Exposure to early access programmes and therapeutic experience in rare disease and /or oncology therapeutic areas is advantageous.

You’re highly developed collaborative leadership skills, enabling you to knowledge share, secure consensus and communicate clear priorities and expectations across a matrix environment will be crucial.


This role will be located within the Kyowa Kirin International headquarters of Galashiels, Scotland, or from our London based office located in Chertsey, Surrey. Commensurate to the role, you will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package and have the opportunity to travel globally.
