This global pharmaceutical company are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to lead the growth of their medical team in the UK and Ireland. A business with pipeline and marketed drugs in a niche therapy area, headquartered in Europe and currently going through an exciting period.

THE ROLE:
A position for a medical affairs pharmacist to become involved in a high level of customer and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement across the UK and Ireland, as well as lead of all medical compliance and interaction with the likes of commercial, brand teams, regulatory, quality assurance and drug safety. The position"e;s responsibilities include;
- Country final medical signatory ensuring all company promotional and non-promotional material comply with the ABPI code of practice
- Leadership and management of a newly appointed UK MSL ensuring high quality performance
- Provision of medical expertise to customers and external thought leaders; to collect scientific and medical feedback from our customers
- Participation in the development of customer training and education programs, and train company sales colleagues
- To assist with identification and presentation of research opportunities to be considered in potential support of our products
- Presentation of data on our products to healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, pharmacists
- Development of appropriate SOPs & processes e.g. examination / certification, to ensure the company complies with the required promotion regulatory standards in the UK and Ireland

LOCATION; Hertfordshire, UK (The role does involve travel across the UK and Ireland)

THE CANDIDATE;
This role would suit a current medical affairs pharmacist who is looking to work in a more autonomous and diverse role where they ultimately lead of much of the UK medical strategy and operational implementation. You will be someone who has led people or who is keen to take on leadership responsibilities, and is keen to face and meet customers as there is heavy external interaction with the market in this role. You will need;
- A pharmacy qualification and be registered with the GPhC
- Experience as a Medical Advisor / Senior Medical Advisor or equivalent in the pharma industry
- ABPI Final Signatory experience
- Excellent presentation skills
- First-rate communication skills
