We are looking for an Information Architect to join or Safety Risk Management team as part of Global Informatics.

As the Safety Informatics Information Architect, you play a fundamental role in designing the next generation of information-centric solutions that will support the Safety Risk Management Organisation and user’s evolving business needs.

You analyze and design the data stored by information systems, concentrating on entities, their attributes, and their interrelationships (data modeling).

 

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a strategic cross-solution and cross-functional Information landscape and flow for all Safety Informatics solutions including connectivity to 3rd party solutions (both inhouse and external hosted)

• Provide in-depth identification and resolution of information flow and content issues

• Identify areas for improvement in terms of information structure and flow, automation, information representation and advise Solution/Component Owners and project teams for best practice and implementation

• Participate in the development and maintenance of overall data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards and conventions for complex cross-functional systems or business initiatives

• Work to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability of the information

• Identify user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorization and labeling; meeting with focus groups

• Support project team with applying concept of data modeling and information layer architecture, including the “Rainbow model” delivered from Pharma Development Information Landscape

• Ensure models, data and transformation processes are aligned with model driven architecture

• Work with Business and Informatics to understand the As-is and To-be information flows. Analysis is driven by Business Processes requirements and Systems Landscapes on Information Entity level

• Work with Solution Architect and Tech leads to ensure that systems are implemented with efficient information management

Who you are

You hold a Bachelors degree in computer sciences, software engineering or similar, with extensive experience working in Software Development Lifecycle activities in the Pharma industry. You have proven working knowledge of the concept and execution of computer systems validation in the IT industry, ensuring consistency in policies and procedures.

 

You have an architect certification and basic project management skills are preferred.

 

To be successful in this role you will have first-rate customer relationship management skills and a service minded attitude. You are quick and eager to learn and take on new challenges and you strive for process optimization and attention to detail.

 

Due to the nature of this role it is essential to have exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, you are in fluent English (written and spoken) with strong focus on inclusive team behavior.

 

Additional skills required:

• Strong analytical skills to learn new processes and relate to business processes with information entities and to understand technical capabilities and constraints.

• Knowledge in representing and storing of information entities in backend data storage systems or data modeling tools

• Ability to abstract information entities at high level to support business processes and low level for solution design.

• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF

• Strong knowledge of Web based applications architecture and Relational and NoSQL databases

• Familiarity of Data Privacy and Data Protection standards and regulations from various health authorities
