Job Summary:

Interim Medical Information Scientist required for a UK affiliate of a global pharma company. Providing responses to 1st and 2nd line enquires & promotional and non promotional copy approval.



Due to an internal secondment this interim position will run until July 2018.

  • Deliver a credible, accurate and valued scientific service covering transplantation therapeutic area
  • Ensure appropriate scientific support to therapeutic Brand Teams for assigned product areas
  • Respond to internal and external customer product enquiries within predefined time frames
  • Respond to enquiries on company products and therapy areas within timescales agreed with the enquirer and in accordance with the company Standard Operating Procedure
  • Prepare standard responses for frequently-asked questions, subject to approval from Medical Advisor/Medical Director
  • Carry out literature searches of in-house and external databases in response to requests for information
  • Ensure that all potential adverse drug reactions received are processed without delay and in accordance with the current SOP(s)
  • Proactively provide relevant scientific, news and business information to internal customers in the Sales, Marketing and Medical Departments
  • Check promotional material with respect to the Code of Practice, by proof-reading and reference-checking
  • Assist with company submissions for national guidelines relevant to product area e.g. NICE
  • Assist with Company correspondence relating to ABPI Code of Practice complaints



  • Experience in medical information in a pharmaceutical company.
  • Proven Copy Approval Experience
  • Knowledge of copy approval systems e.g. Zinc or Veeva
  • Experience in a relevant therapy area an advantage
