They provide consulting and research services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. 

The primary responsibility will be to lead health utility estimation research projects. Working alongside HE and PRO researchers, the successful applicant will lead the design, planning, conducting, and reporting of health utility studies commissioned by industry clients. Studies may include: utility measurement strategies, design and analysis of utility data collected in clinical trials, design and conduct of prospective or cross-sectional utility studies and surveys, preparation of protocols and statistical analysis plans, health state valuation studies (e.g. time-trade off), mapping to derive utility estimates from disease-specific PRO instruments, and estimation of health state utility values for economic models.
The successful applicant may also lead other research projects which may include heath economics and/or patient reported outcomes research, depending on their field of expertise.


·         3 years of experience in health utility research coupled with additional experience in either health economics, psychology, statistics, biostatistics, operations research, mathematics, decision sciences, public health, health policy, health services research, or a related field.  

·         A PhD plus a minimum of 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in the aforementioned fields within academia, the pharmaceutical industry, contract research, or a related area 

·         Proven ability to lead the design and conduct of health utility research, demonstrated thorough example projects and/or research publications

·         Experience in conducting analyses of health state utility data from clinical trials and other collected data sources. This includes development of study design, writing analysis plans, programming to clean and manipulate data and conduct the analysis, and reporting of the results.

·         Proven ability to perform other health-related research which may include heath economics and/or patient reported outcomes research.

·         A proven academic record through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentation.

·         Ability to work well independently and as part of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral); and a highly successful academic career.
