biotechs and CROs. Synexus has considerable experience and currently over 14,000 participants are engaged in clinical trials.

Synexus undertakes clinical trials across a wide variety of therapy areas and across phases 2 - 4 for the worlds leading pharma, biotech and CROs.

Main responsibilities


Purpose of the role


  • To provide overall leadership, accountability and responsibility for the efficiency, quality and performance of a Synexus centre
  • To ensure delivery of centre  profit and loss targets
  • To ensure the delivery of contracted services  within budget levels
  • To ensure that customer service delights customers and delivers to and where possible exceeds customers’ expectations
  • To ensure that there is a safe and compliant working environment and standard operating procedures are adhered to

Role Responsibilities

  • Measuring performance against agreed centre KPIs
  • Maximise centre growth opportunities by utilising available capacity / resource
  • Resource planning, forecasting and management to ensure all business requirements are deliverable through available resources and plans to reset as required
  • Provide contingency Operation support to allow business continuity and performance levels to continue
  • Manage and coach direct reports to achieve monthly targets
  • Manage and control costs within agreed budgets and authorisation levels through centre management structure
  • Driving centre best practice to achieve profitability / contribution
  • Manage the financial performance / resource, equipment and facilities of the centre
  • Lead, motivate, empower and inspire centre team
  • Recruit and support new team members following agreed company approach and ensure they are inducted effectively/follow process
  • Manage under-performance proactively in line with company policy
  • Monitor centre team progress against individual targets at planned intervals and give constructive feedback (regular reviews)
  • Drive compliance with Synexus and Sponsor quality objectives ensuring effective and efficient best practice processes, procedures and documentation to aid delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure excellent customer service as per UK Operational SLAs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in their areas remit (e.g. CRA, internal & external customers)
  • Ensure compliance with company quality framework, regulatory (GCP) legislation, guidelines and international standards (Global/Local COPS & SOPS)
  • Ensure safe and efficient working environment
  • Ensure facilities are operational and user friendly
  • Ensure facilities are legally compliant
