Job Summary:

The role of the Technical SME Programming role is to be provide statistical support for a team of experienced SAS Programmers at GCE Solutions and to work alongside the Biostatisticians in the company in delivering solutions for our global client on their Phase II and Phase III trials.



  • Working on studies that are being delivered in-house at AZ on their systems
  • AZ is now starting to do more work in-house rather than outsourcing studies to CRO’s
  • It will be study work (not submission or project level work) and they will be assigned to particular studies (maybe more than one)
  • They will be creating SDTM and ADaM datasets as well as TFLs
  • They will be using the new AZ analysis and reporting system ENTIMICE, which they will need to be trained on
  • They will be working alongside AZ Programmers as part of a team


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in a science or mathematics related field
  • Good SAS skills
  • CDISC experience is essential
  • Clinical experience
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Respiratory and Cardiovascular experience useful
  • Need to have good communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Proactive in communicating issues and raising suggestions
  • Project management and higher level skills will also be useful in more experienced staff
