Job Summary:

Two Fixed Term MSL Contractors to support a new team of four MSLs for a pending product launch. Field based and territories are South East / South West / Midlands or North including Scotland & Northern Ireland.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Medical Science Liaison responsibilities include:

Provide field-based medical and scientific support to respond to specific requests from healthcare professionals

Deliver fair, balanced and unbiased scientific and/or educational presentations reactively (in response to a specific request) to healthcare professionals, either individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions, etc.).

Deliver credible, fair, balanced and unbiased scientific and/or educational presentations to healthcare professionals in a promotional setting, when appropriate.

Provide scientific and clinical support for, and help maintain professional and credible relationships with, key opinion leaders and academic centres.

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant products, relevant therapeutic areas and the structure and workings of the NHS.

Discuss the collection of real world data (RWD), investigator initiated trials and clinical trial details with potential investigators, and help co-ordination of clinical investigator meetings.

Attend relevant national and international scientific meetings/congresses to ensure up-to-date knowledge of therapy area, and to respond to any specific enquiries from healthcare professionals.

Produce and update scientific and clinical presentations for assigned therapeutic areas as appropriate.

Provide field-based support and training to the sales force and other departments as necessary.

Work in collaboration with the Scientific Advisors and Medical staff to organise and present scientifically credible data packages at advisory boards when required.

Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice, as well as all internal processes and procedures for Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory legislation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Previous MSL experience essential

Diabetes experience desirable

Pharmacist / PhD / Life Science Degree Essential

Ability to work field based and to travel frequently within territory and internationally for conference attendance
