Business Development Director - UK - Regulatory Affairs


One of the fastest growing CRO’s in the industry with a reputation to deliver projects on time and to budget are now looking to increase their European Commercial team. Over the last few years they have grown organically and increased the capability of their operations team who are ready and available to work on the new business you bring in. The US sales team is currently holding 70% of the total sales figure with Europe holding the last 30%, this position is open for someone who wants to compete with the US team and make it a 50/50 split. A natural born or moulded hunter, this position suits a Business Development expert ideally at Director Level.

The position:

  • As a Business Development Director you will be responsible for selling the company’s Regulatory Services into Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies across the agreed territory
  • You are not afraid of new business development. My client are looking to grow organically and require a proactive hunter who can boost the European commercial division.
  • You are known for your internal communication, this company have a solid operational team that is there to be utilized to ensure you win more business and can offer exactly what your client is looking for
  • You will maintain a high-activity sales effort that is documented and managed in and provide timely reports, account analysis and industry knowledge to develop effective and successful account strategies

You will need:

  • A degree is preferred although applicants with direct industry experience with no degree will still be highly considered
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Business Development within a Clinical/Regulatory setting, although candidates who have sold services into Pharma/Biotech out of Clinical can also be considered
  • You must be willing to travel to your clients base wherever possible
  • The ability to work independently and self-motivate as this is a home based position
