Job Summary:

Chiltern is looking to recruit a Clinical Trials Administrator to be based at our offices in Edinburgh and work within our Oncology group. The Clinical Trials Administrator will act as a vital cog in the Clinical Trial process, assisting Clinical Research teams as necessary. We are considering candidates who have an admin background and can see themselves in this role long term.

Job Primary Functions:

The CTA performs study-related tasks as required by the Department, including (but not limited to):

  • Document and track study activities using relevant forms and tools, as well as Chiltern’s Project Management System.
  • Prepare study site files in accordance with relevant SOPs.
  • Create and main contact list of study team members, study sites, and external suppliers/contract organizations.
  • Minute taking and create documentation for sponsor or internal teleconferences.
  • Maintain tracking systems for study supplies and investigator payments.
  • Assist in the tracking and filing of documents for all clinical trials into Chiltern’s global database.
  • Support Investigator Meetings.
  • May support in mentoring less experienced CTAs on project or department tasks and requirements.
  • May assist the Line Manager with interviews for candidates for the CTA role.
  • Liaise with all other Chiltern departments to ensure the smooth running of the study.

Perform other duties as required by the Department or Project Team.

Job Qualifications:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills during interactions with external and internal clients
  • Candidates will have some Administrative skills with the ability to and desire to learn
  • Previous experience in all administrative aspects of clinical trials with a good knowledge of SOPs would be an advantage but not essential
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills during interactions with external and internal clients
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize  multiple ongoing tasks
