We have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join us at an exciting time as we continue to expand our business as a specialist provider of Trial Master File document management solutions to the global clinical research industry.

The role:

You will be working across the business focusing on the early stages of project awards, and then take responsibility for the planning, implementation and ongoing project management across projects. You will liaise with our clients, who range from large pharma through to niche biotech companies, delivering an excellent management service throughout the project life-cycle, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within agreed budget. You will also be instrumental in building strong, lasting client relationships and securing further projects & work opportunities for our growing portfolio of document processing solutions. You will coordinate our internal teams, working closely with the operational and technology groups, and enjoy the responsibility for successful project delivery.

A full job description will be provided ahead of interviews, but in brief your duties will include:

  • Assist Business Development (BD) and Director of Project Management when required to provide the specialist technical input at client meetings and for the generation of proposals
  • Review financial aspect of proposals and Time & Cost estimates for BD
  • Set up and run initial pilot project when appropriate working with other operational directors and managers
  • Be the primary client contact throughout lifecycle of ongoing projects
  • Anticipate risks and manage issues as appropriate
  • Monitor adherence to Project Plans; update and remediate as necessary
  • Independently manage project according to the scope of work within contracted budget and according to Service Level Agreements
  • Prepare budget forecasts in consultation with Operations Managers, and other Heads of Departments. 
  • Maintain finance trackers to manage progress of project

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have project management experience, ideally within the clinical research industry or a related discipline.
  • Possess strong financial and commercial acumen with previous budget management experience.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the drug development process.
  • Are able to work autonomously with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and diplomacy skills and inspire confidence in colleagues and clients alike.
  • Are preferably educated to degree (Life Science or IT) level, however candidates with relevant industry experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Are able to travel to other countries (particularly US) as required (i.e. no passport/visa restrictions)
