Job Summary:

Interim Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) Oncology, UK wide, 12 months. This role is for a leading global pharma company and will focus on its comprehensive oncology portfolio. You will have responsibility for established products as well as compounds with one launch scheduled for 2018 and others on the horizon.

BACKGROUND:

Global organisation – top 20 pharma

Autonomous role

12 month daily rate contract with possibility of extension or to perm

PRIMARY DUTIES:

To provide clinical data/information and expert scientific advice to external customers when Key Account Manager (KAM) unable to offer this service due to skill set required/Code restrictions

To effectively manage and follow up on Independent Sponsored Research (ISR) proposals and other relevant Medical programmes with customers across the UK, as required.

To contribute to the development of local and national opinion leaders in line with business needs.

Provide product and scientific information and support to the UK brand team(s)

To utilise knowledge of clinical processes and practices within NHS to identify potential business opportunities

To provide expert advice to internal stakeholders re: clinical issues relating to market/products

To ensure all business operations within area of responsibility comply with current SOPs, the ABPI Code of Practice and all other relevant industry standards, and to contribute to the monitoring of compliance with such codes across the business

To manage contract Medical Affairs, support staff where necessary

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

MSL experience is a pre requisite. We cannot consider someone wanting to move into their first MSL on this occasion.

Launch experience preferable

Oncology experience is desirable but will consider other therapy areas

Experience of working in late phase clinical trials environment.

Working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Conduct

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (e.g. PhD related to Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing or Science degree) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training.
