Medical Science Liaison Manager – Respiratory                                                                          

Permanent position to be home office based in Germany

 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will adapt the global Medical Affairs annual strategic plan for regional usage in collaboration with commercial colleagues.
  • You will develop relationships with KOLs across different types of healthcare organisations in the areas of medical, education, clinical research, and health economics and outcomes research.
  • You will deliver medical presentations to diverse audiences including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other key stakeholders.
  • You will ensure the evidence base for the products is effectively communicated and any gaps in this evidence base are captured so that they can be addressed in future studies or presentation materials.
  • You will ensure effective regional scientific and medical communication on the portfolio products and pipeline compounds with KOLs, academic and scientific organisations, government and regulatory bodies on the benefits of using the products.
  • You will lead internal training for headquarter- and field-based teams and where necessary distributors in local/ regional markets.
  • You will provide scientific support for the involvement of KOLs with the company’s research activities.
  • You will contribute to the development and implementation of medical education strategies and initiatives to support the product portfolio and pipeline.
  • You will assist with the implementation and engagement of KOL participation in advisory boards, consultant meetings and other scientific meetings consistent with all policies, procedures and processes in local markets.
  • You will attend and participate in medical/scientific meetings and conferences for the purpose of gaining scientific insights.
  • You will collaborate with KOLs and Medical Affairs and Development colleagues to support the development of appropriate publications and communications.
  • You will support health economics and outcomes research.

 

Your profile:

  • Qualification as MD, PhD or PharmD
  • Experience within respiratory (clinical or industry)
  • Clinical experience in academic or institutional healthcare
  • Experience in Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical organisation
  • Good understating of the medical practice, clinical decision-making and healthcare system in Germany
  • Strong understanding of clinical research trial and/or related laboratory research design and execution
  • Fluency in both German and English
  • Willing to work home office based with frequent travel across Germany
