We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join our small, friendly HR team in our Amersham office. This is a pure generalist role in which will be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, support recruitment activities across all functional areas and will also support learning and development activities.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join our small, friendly HR team in our Amersham office. This is a pure generalist role in which will be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, support recruitment activities across all functional areas and will also support learning and development activities.  

The role:
The role will deliver a professional advisory service to our employees and management teams, providing support, advice and guidance in relation to all aspects of HR policies and procedures.  Reporting into the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will take the lead on all day to day operational activities and support the wider HR function. This role would be ideally suited to individuals who are CIPD part-qualified/qualified and with a wealth of generalist HR experience. 

A full job description will be provided ahead of interviews but in brief, your role will include:

  • Overseeing/conducting employee inductions and conduct all follow up meetings.
  • Manage statutory requests and procedures e.g. Flexible Working, Maternity, Occupational Health Referral.
  • Conduct HR meetings with managers e.g. Return to Work, Maternity Keep in Touch.
  • Assist with HR projects as and when required.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives e.g. Sports&Social activities.
  • Support the Resourcing Manager in all areas the company’s end-to-end recruitment and selection activities including, but not limited to: develop job descriptions and role-specific profiles; advertising vacancies internally and externally; screening candidates; liaising with agencies and hiring managers; coordinating interview/assessment days (where appropriate); and, conducting competency based interviews.  

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a wealth of previous generalist HR experience essential.
  • Are CIPD part-qualified/qualified
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to tailor approach accordingly.
  • Can establish and maintain excellent working relationships across the organisation and deal tactfully and sensitively with people at all levels.
  • Is able to work to tight deadlines, handle large volumes of work, and deal with highly confidential and often sensitive information. 


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an effective communicator at all levels 
  • Self- motivated and able to work proactively and independently or as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Have Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
