JOB TITLE: Market Access Manager

LOCATION: Germany (Field based-remote) 

SALARY: 75,000-90,000 Euros Depending on experience

The Market Access Manager will lead the expansion of our client's product designed to significantly reduce the cost of care and improve patient quality of life for patients and will engage with customers, primarily within the hospital to ensure they realize appropriate reimbursement.

The Market Access Manager may work remotely but must be available to travel up to 40% of the time. He/she will partner closely with Sales teams in the German healthcare system to help customers understand how the company’s products impact the economics of their business.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for global, regional and country pricing and access strategies are of high quality and are fit for purpose for the specific region.

 

  • Engage with payers, KOL’s and stakeholders to strategically provide access to the market

 

  • Show expert knowledge of the local market to identify opportunities to work with local commercial payers achieve reimbursement and patient access to the drug

 

  • Demonstrate an up to date understanding of pricing and reimbursement methodologies

 

  • Have experience with technical modelling skills and a proven knowledge of all methods in health economics
  • Client facing responsibilities to explain the specific benefits of the drug

  

  • Develop compliant communication tools to be used in discussions with payers

 

  • Ensure market access goals, including pricing targets, revenue targets, access timelines, and overall launch success 

The successful candidate will possess:

 

  • Degree in life sciences, economics or business with an advanced degree in one of these fields preferred Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or device industry, with at least 2 years in a field-based or Customer-facing role.
  • Understanding of the German healthcare system, pricing, access and reimbursement processes of the country

 

  • Experience launching products in the hospital-based setting would be an advantage

 

  • Experience with antibiotics in a hospital-based setting an advantage

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of pricing trends, tactics and payer dynamics

 

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills

 

  • Ability to effectively manage senior relationships with KOL’s and senior industry/healthcare professionals

 

  • Exceptional written and oral communication, and organizational skills

 

  • Track record of working cross-functionally with other departments successfully
