This role is based in our new modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links.

As the TRS System Architect you will take ownership of the design of the Technology Run Services tooling ecosystem, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library, but pulling in the Configuration Management Database, diagnostic and application monitoring tooling. 

Key Accountabilities :
- Monitor that the current and future needs of TRS are being met in a flexible, sustainable and adaptable manner. 
- Design, negotiate and implement technical, process and architectural standards as required. 
- Collaborate in the establishment of the programs necessary to ensure adherence.  
- Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, product managers, technology partners and suppliers to help build and optimize a holistic vision of the TRS organization's tooling strategy, processes, information, and assets while helping to expand our technical capabilities in front of new offerings.
- Provide influence, leadership and expert level support to stakeholders throughout the organization. 
- Evangelize knowledge sharing, cooperation, transparency and communication across the organization.

Education:
- BS/MS or college degree in a relevant technical area (Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, System Manufacturing) or equivalent experience

Required:
- Superior communication, collaboration and diplomacy skills
- Strong and advanced Information Technology experience designing and implementing enterprise level applications
- Expertise in translating both functional and non-functional requirements into scalable and highly available system topology architectures
- Hands-on experience of application development in JEE, .net or similar technologies.
- Strong and in-depth experience participating in the creation and leadership of architectural governance programs
- Proficiency in architectural principles and technology

Desired:
- Experience in data integration techniques and strategies
- Experience in integration with vendor hosted SAAS solutions
- Experience with IAAS platforms and other cloud models
- Experience in post-production application support
- Proficiency in Service Oriented Architecture principles
- Hands-on experience with Service Now and or AppDynamics a plus
- Microsoft Azure experience
