The opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Project Management Department of Phlexglobal, a specialist provider of technology enabled document management solutions to the global clinical research market.

The role:

In this key role you will be managing a team of Project Coordinators. You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing the team to ensure projects are managed effectively, remain on schedule and within agreed budgets. The position will also work closely with the Director of Project Management to improve the optimum use of project management methodology and tools in addition to having responsibility for the  management of a client project.

A full job description will be provided ahead of interviews, but in brief duties could include:

  • Day to day operational and line manangement of a team of Project Co-ordinators
  • Managing a small portfolio of client projects
  • Optimising project management tools to drive the departments effectiveness

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are preferably educated to degree (Life Science or IT) level but, essentially, have significant project management experience, within the clinical research industry or a related discipline.
  • Have direct line management experience
  • Have some proven experience of people development
  • Have demonstrable experience of managing teams in a fast paced environment
  • Have in-depth knowledge of ICH/GCP and appropriate standards relevant to document management and a thorough understanding of the drug development process
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation and diplomacy skills and inspire confidence in colleagues and clients alike.
  • Have a flexible, rational, innovative approach to work.
