Job Summary:

A well-regarded agency is looking for an Account Manager to join their team in Buckinghamshire, they are award winning and leaders in the Medical Communications industry.



This agency was started in 2007, they have grown to 100 people globally and have doubled in profit each year. They do not have an active business development function as they have successfully operated through recommendation and repeat business. They take a different approach to medical education, as they deliver KOL developed and endorsed educational materials. The clients they work with include: Genzyme, Bayer, GSK, Eisai, Shire, AZ, Roche, Pfizer and many more. The agency seperates themsleves from the rest as they are always thinking of the next innovative thins they can bring to the industry, for instance behaviour change & health economics. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good understanding of clients’ business objectives, political events and policy, developments and managing of programmes to enable them to meet those objectives
  • Assist with new business preparation and pitching whilst maintaining prospect contacts
  • Ensures timely, accurate client documentation and correspondence
  • Communicates clearly and frequently with the client and keeps senior management briefed on account activities
  • Responsible for the delivery of tactics to pre-agreed timelines on the brand throughout the year
  • Conveys credibility and maintains a positive, professional image - both internally and externally
  • Ensures project teams adhere to agency and client processes
  • Identifies any issues and assists with problem resolution

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working within medical education, ideally in an agency, at a senior account executive level or account manager role.
  • A solid background within client services focusing on healthcare clients and be adept at running projects from inception through to completion.
  • Be comfortable being the main point of contact for your clients – and able to present clearly and with an engaging approach. 
  • Experience of managing junior account handlers is essential
