Jenni Woolley is recruiting for a Biostatistician to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Beerse, Belgium on a 12 month contract.

The position provides statistical services including analysis, interpretation, design, and reporting or communication of data evidence for research, development, and/or marketed product needs.

Activities associated with the role will require varying levels of guidance from managers and project statisticians.

This position reports to and is sponsored by a Principal Statistician or above, and is an individual contributor position.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
-Ensure application of appropriate, basic statistical methods and generation of accurate and reproducible results.
-Assist in providing experimental design, modeling, analysis planning, analysis execution, interpretation and statistical communications support.
-Be accountable for the execution of individual project responsibilities, including: meetings with necessary project team members, reporting activities, exploratory analyses/graphics, and additional analyses to support publications for individual clinical trials/studies/projects.
-Produce clear, concise, well-organized, and error-free analysis programs and statistical reporting content.
-Establish and maintain effective and efficient interfaces and relationships with internal and external customers, with support of Statistics & Decision Sciences (SDS) management.
-Be proficient in SAS or R, as well as other relevant computational tools as required, Expert in SAS or R, Expert in SAS or R.
-Understand and align with relevant regulatory guidances.
-Document projects in sufficient detail for reproducibility, including entry in project tracking systems and placement into shared repositories.

Further responsibilities will include:
-Supporting multiple clinical trials/studies/projects
-Supporting program-wide strategic analyses, including Health Authority responses
-Routine oversight from project statisticians.
-Handling more complex analyses and requires limited oversight from managers.
-Handling all levels of analysis complexity and can work independently.
-Complying with organization and company standard operating procedures in timely fashion, such as training and project time accounting.
-Following best practices for Data Integrity.
-Ensuring that documents, specifications, programs, and macros are consistent and comply with project and company standards.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Masters Degree in Statistics or PhD in Statistics or related field.
-Knowledge of R and/or SAS, and other significant statistical software (e.g. PASS).
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, great understanding of team-culture.
-Demonstrate a nature of proactively, enthusiasm, independent drive, and energetic outlook to tasks.
-Exceptional organizational skills, Works towards and meets deadlines.
