An excellent opportunity has opened for an Healthcare Data Analyst to join a newly established healthcare organisation which has been sponsored by multiple pharmaceutical companies


A global health-care organization has recently established a collaborative initiative with support from leading pharmaceutical companies which aims to provide insight into how anti-cancer treatments are used to make better informed decisions on patient care in the future. This organisation is currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their newly established organisation.

This is a real opportunity for you to be part of a team building a new product to be used in the future to enhance decision making in the healthcare space specifically related to the oncology area and to positively impact the outcomes for future patients and healthcare providers. The Healthcare Data Analyst will travel to hospitals and build relationships with local data asset owners which will require strong relationship management and communication skills. You will act as a creative and resourceful detective in carrying out due diligence on the existing infrastructure and data assets to aid senior management to make decisions whether the given trust is a suitable partner for our business objectives. You will create reports to outline the type, volume, quality and completeness of the data from many hospital departmental data sources.

• Ability to extract and amalgamate information gathered from hospital information systems.
• Conducting analysis on the content of clinical data to assess quality, completeness and volumes of data, and effectively communicate the results of this analysis to your colleagues
• Liaising with system owners, informatics and clinical teams on-site in order to understand the origins, contents and structure of data
• Engaging with IT teams, data management teams, hospital managers and clinical staff to build and maintain relationships

Requires skills and qualifications:

• Completed university degree, preferably in a subject such as IT, business informatics, bioinformatics, information systems, computer science, life sciences, physics or engineering
• Some prior experience in a Data Analyst position working with large healthcare datasets and ideally the hospital environment
• Good skills to design and build a database.
• Good data management experience, including database administration (e.g., in SQL or Oracle)
• Excellent overall IT literacy (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and good data visualization skills (prior exposure to MicroStrategy and Tableau an advantage)
• Some high level ETL understanding is advantageous
• Proven analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work within timelines
• Fluent in French and business proficiency in English, both written and spoken
