Job Summary:

My client is a world renowned pharmaceutical company, looking to appoint an Associate Director Health Economics - HTA to join their hugely successful company. Candidates will need to come from a proven HTA background gained within a Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Academia or Consulting company.

Requirements:

You will be an integral part of the UK & IRE Market Access Team, you will assist in the continued development of a pro-active in-house approach to the economic evaluation of a portfolio of pharmaceutical products across 3 therapy areas, with reference to well-founded research and reasoning on cost effectiveness, quality of life considerations and other pharmaco-economic arguments appropriate to specific situations. 

  • Produce successful health technology assessments (HTA) to support market access of products, working within the ABPI / DoH guidelines of good practice
  • You will develop the UK health economic strategies to support the pricing and market access of the products. 
  • Support pipeline products including working with marketing and corporate colleagues to support product pricing and incorporate relevant HE measures into clinical trials 
  • Produce specific health economic information for local NHS payers to support successful market access of products, working within the ABPI / DoH guidelines of good practice

Education/Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant area
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification e.g. MSc Health Economics would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and practical application of all relevant methods of economic evaluation
  • Experience in modelling is essential
  • Experience of developing UK health economic strategies
  • Responsible for making health technology appraisal submissions
  • Computer literate
