Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a Proposal Writer/Project Manager to join a new, expanding area of our business. This high profile role is responsible for: Oversight of projects from quotation stage to invoicing; leading client meetings and teleconferences and ensuring that each stage of projects is progressing on time, to budget and the right quality standards. As well as, working with Business Development to support, own and track the proposal process via SalesForce.

Ideally we are looking for candidates with exemplary client facing and influencing skills, who can work successfully with our clients and internal colleagues at all levels of Custom Pharma Services to achieve the sales plan.  Project management experience gained from a pharmaceutical GMP environment and proposal/technical document writing experience are also required.   

 

About Custom

Following significant investment and continued growth we are building a new, bespoke manufacturing and pilot plant facility which is under construction and scheduled to be operational during Quarter 1 of 2018.

 

Custom Pharma Services is a full-service contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) for investigational medicinal products (IMP) through to commercial manufacturing. Custom’s advanced facilities can produce solid dosage forms with immediate and modified release characteristics, with an annual capacity of more than 1.5 billion tablets and 250 million capsules for both clinical and commercial use.

 

Fully certified in the UK and Europe, Custom Pharma Services is a one-stop resource for contract development and pharmaceutical manufacturing. About the role

In summary, the role requirements are:

  • Managing  CDO quotation process from receipt of RFP’s
  • Creating and delivering project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. 
  • Working with Planning Team to maintain capacity plans and schedules
  • Working with Technical Operations Manager, Clinical Development Manager and Senior Project Manager to ensure delivery of projects on time by Technical Group
  • Managing sales and invoicing schedules, providing revenue forecasts for Senior Management Team
  • Managing communication plan with customer base, i.e. setting up and running Teleconferences, writing up minutes and status reports
  • Liaising with Operations, QA, Production, Planning, Purchasing and Customer Services to support mutual achievement of the CDO and CMO sales plans.

 

About You

Qualifications, knowledge, skills & experience required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Project management experience within a Pharmaceutical (GMP) Environment is essential
  • Project Management training is desirable but not essential
  • Salesforce experience is desirable but not essential.  Other CRM advantageous
  • Proposal/technical document writing experience is essential
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Exemplary client-facing skills
  • Able to influence staff at all levels including Senior Management Team
  • Capable of managing activities and performance of a team, even if not line supervisor/manager.
  • Persistent and able to influence actions of others to get the desired result.
  • Calm and structured working under pressure in a fast changing environment
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects with potentially conflicting requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
  • Ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively both with senior managers, technical specialists and production teams
  • Process improvement mind-set with the ability to improve processes whilst continuing to work with existing systems and ways of working
