PPD are currently recruiting for an adaptable and detail-focussed Accountant to join the statutory compliance team based in our office at Granta Park, Cambridge. This is a small specialist team that has responsibility for all statutory compliance matters for EMEA and APAC.

As a Statutory Compliance Accountant you will reporting to the Director, Finance and will form part of the Statutory Compliance (“stats”) team. Each accountant in the team manages their own portfolio of PPD entities, with activities including both technical accounting and project management skills.

 

You will be responsible for performing and/or reviewing detailed reconciliations, dealing with audit and tax queries, reviewing financial statements, tax computations and tax returns. You will also liaise with and support the treasury department as necessary with regards to dividends and global cash management.

 

You will also be heavily involved in project planning and deadline management for financial statements, audits and annual and interim corporate tax returns - ensuring that all filing requirements are met and are subject to PPD’s internal control processes. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and highly organised person able to work on your own initiative and communicate effectively with internal and external groups and stakeholders. You will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong background in technical accounting or audit in either practice or industry.
