Job Summary:

Alex Coppen

Role: (Senior) Clinical Project/Trial Manager

Locations: Various EU locations - Ideally office based but will consider home based

Salary: Attractive salary and remuneration

Barrington James have recently met with the Senior Clinical Team as well as the Global HR Team for one of our most active partners, there are exciting times ahead for this organisation. We have seen them develop in to an industry leader by focusing on high quality delivery of full service projects, where they have also expanded by over 150% mainly through organic growth. They have a unique approach to Clinical Project Management which is extremely effective and has also attracted a lot of talent to their company.

To be clear, the “title” is Clinical Trial Manager or Senior Clinical Trial Manager. This can be misleading as in some cases the CTM “title” refers to managing only the clinical deliverables of a project. However in this company, the Clinical Trial Managers are full service, global, client facing project managers also working with the BD team in commercial efforts such as proposals and BIDs. In this role there is also no overall budget responsibility, only budget oversite. They do this because they want their project managers to focus purely on the scientific/operational aspects of the trial and not have the additional responsibility of budgets.

What else makes the opportunity great?

  • They have a centralized system for everything related to a clinical study – no need for multiple systems/logins, makes the admin time a lot more efficient
  • Be part of a growing company – huge potential for career development in to more senior roles
  • Extremely quality orientated company, they believe in quality over quantity in your work and have a very different approach to other CROs
  • Fantastic salary packages within the industry
  • They are very strict with who joins their company – every applicant must have a Life Science Degree, they do not hire “job hoppers”, vigorous interview process – this means you will be working alongside the best of the best in the industry
  • Client facing role
  • The structure of their project management allows the clinical trial management team to focus fully on the operational execution of the project, versus spending excessive time on project financial tracking
  • The position interacts with sponsors and manages the timeline and all project deliverables, giving you the opportunity to be a key player in delivering the project successfully

  • 1-2 years of Clinical Project Management (ideally full service)
  • Recent CRO experience is essential
  • Life Science Degree is essential
  • CRA background is essential
  • No specific therapy area, however oncology is a bonus
  • Confident, enthusiastic and friendly
  • Team player and great interpersonal/communication skills
  • No more than 3 jobs in a 6 years period (unless valid reasons for leaving)
  • Commercial/BIDs experience is a bonus

This is a great opportunity for experienced Clinical Project Manager to join their Clinical Operations Team and lead interesting, full service, global studies.
