Job Summary:

Digital Sales Representative/Medical Sales Specialist (might be also suitable for Key Account Manager/Account Executive) covers all customers in Primary Care and Secondary Care and involves the promotion of the growth brands to these customers in the digital arena through the use of non-customer facing technology.

Digital Sales Representative/Medical Sales Specialist (might be also suitable for Key Account Manager/Account Executive) covers all customers in Primary Care and Secondary Care and involves the promotion of the growth brands to these customers in the digital arena through the use of non-customer facing technology. It is expected that key functions of this role will include the selling of company brands to customers through the planning of remote customer calls and virtual meetings to engage with customers in this different way. The role requires competence in planning and organising to meet digital objectives and some involvement in project work may be required.

Product Promotion & Sales:

  • Promote products to designated target customers
  • Effective selling skills in a virtual setting.

  • Effective selling skills – ICE minimum standards.
  • Achievement of National Sales Targets.
  • Achievement of customer activity metrics.
  • Running effective virtual promotional meetings.
  • Value added programmes are effectively implemented with field and demonstrate return.

Digital Selling Skills:

  • Clear demonstration of Effective Selling Skills in a Virtual Setting
  • Overcoming ‘No’ Obstacles
  • Listening Skills – Listening to Understand
  • Selling the Package – ‘What’s in it for me’
  • Assertive Communication
  • Effective Delivery – pausing, pace, inflection, intonation

Customer Relations:

  • Build rapport with customers to create follow-up interactions, gain product endorsement to generate sales
  • Strong customer rapport.
  • Customer satisfaction data/ feedback on the virtual customer interactions
  • Achievement of target % of follow-up requests from customers (F:F representative call/ med info, etc)
  • Up to date and comprehensive completion of customer records to be used by other Customer Facing colleagues
  • Support the development of key opinion leaders in digital.
  • Understanding local NHS environment including country UK structures.
  • High level of customer service e.g. timely response to general requests from customers.
  • Access with some ‘hard to see’ customers with business outcome

Activity/ Capacity Planning and Management:

  • Setting up and managing appointments with target customers in coordination with the cross functional team aligned to the specific territory
  • Implement & organise field opportunities through virtual customer calls.
  • Achieve the target of setting up appointments with Key Customers & conducting virtual calls and presentations
  • Generate +ve feedback loops and coordinated activities with the sales teams on target customers.
  • Demonstration that pre-call knowledge has been acted on
  • Implement the Digital Customer Component of the LHE Plan

 Team-working:

  • Liaise and collaborate with Sales team members to share information, motivate and support and therefore contribute to the generation and delivery of the digital teams’ objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with all relevant Sales Representatives
  • Strong team rapport & proactive team member.
  • Achievement of shared action plan objectives.
  • Regular Feedback from team members which is subsequently acted upon. To give and receive feedback.
  • Effective communication.
  • Regular sharing of appropriate information to enhance the business.
  • Good customer management e.g. sharing/exchanging opportunities and insights.
  • Taking on Digital team responsibility e.g. Brand Leads, Med manager Lead.
  • Proactive sharing & seeking of best practices

 Compliance:

  • 100% with ABPI and internal policies and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A’ Level or ‘Higher’ in science subjects and ideally a Life Science Degree.
  • Uk Pharma market experience.
  • Up to date knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas.
  • ABPI qualification.
  • Effective selling skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced Computer ability – e.g. Email /WORD/ Excel e.g. ability to operate digital multimedia & teleconference facility in multitasking mode
  • Effective working knowledge of all primary care structures and customer types.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and non-verbal)
