Job Summary:

As part of PAREXEL Consulting, you will create and maximize value for clients throughout the product lifecycle. You will be a strategic guide in getting products to market faster, smarter – and keeping them there –your scientific, technical, regulatory, and/or commercial expertise will put best practice standards to work for biopharmaceutical and medical device companies large and small.


Job Purpose:

The Operations Associate will provide support on a range of business-level operations activities, including revenue and sales tracking. The Operations Associate will also provide support on a range of project-level activities, including project revenue and profitability tracking and resource management. This support will involve working with colleagues in the Operations team, Service Line Heads and Finance for the business-level activities, and Project Managers and Project teams for project level activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue and profitability tracking

• Gathering monthly data on actual and forecasted revenue
• Analyzing data to understand latest overall profitability
• Preparing summaries of revenue, utilization, profitability and sales
• Supporting refinement of our processes and tools
• Supporting implementation of any new PAREXEL processes
• Supporting regular meetings to review progress

Resource management

• Supporting the smooth running of our resourcing database
• Tracking project and overall resourcing trends
• Supporting periodic updates to our skills assessment spreadsheet

New Business Award (sales) tracking

• Supporting the update of our overall sales progress reports
• Analyzing data to understand latest sales trends
• Preparing summaries of our sales progress and forecast by team

Performance management

• Support staff performance review process:
- Administering system to gather feedback on project close
- Administering system and process at the end of year
• Supporting refinement of our performance-related processes and tools

Operational processes

• Monitoring key processes that are run by other teams:
- Project set-up
- Invoicing/billing
- Contracting
• Supporting set-up and maintenance of an effective knowledge management system

Project set-up and close

• Supporting the project set-up activities to ensure alignment, including:
- Set-up in finance systems
-Initial resource plan
-Initial revenue forecast
-Awareness of relevant contractual terms
• Supporting the project close process to ensure timely closure, including:
-Archiving of project materials
-Capture of key knowledge management

Project Financial Management

• Generation of regular project finance reports, including:
- Revenue status
- Cost (resources used) versus budget
- Profitability
- Pass through cost status
• Support investigating invoice queries
• Support reviewing and processing pass through cost invoices
• Support liaison with Independent Consultants

• Initial 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or with similar areas of responsibility.
