The Microbiology QC department is now looking for an analyst to join their team. Please note this role is a shift based role which will be on a 12 hour shift 4 days on and 4 days off. The shift pattern may also change to accommodate seasonal needs. If successful you will conduct quality control testing on products in accordance with the appropriate cGXP. You will also take part in data review / approval authority. In addition, you will conduct trouble-shooting of laboratory equipment. We will consider candidates at graduate entry level, or equivalent industrial experience



Some of the responsibilities include:

* You will Perform laboratory and routine tests in accordance with the appropriate cGXP
* You will undertake a variety of non-routine testing including cleaning validation, complaint, experimental / validation work and analytical support to production.
* You will prepare specimens and samples for analysis.
* You will perform data review/approval and data retention activities.
* You will lead Quality Control investigations when required.
* You will provide support to functional and cross functional investigations when needed.
* You will provide support to regulatory inspections with direct involvement as appropriate.
* You will write and execution of key protocols and reports .
* You will construct, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines and pH meters;
* You will ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced.



Essential requirement:



* Degree level/or equivalent in a scientific discipline
* Experience in microbiology testing such as environmental monitoring, bioburden and endotoxin testing

Desirable requirement:



* Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment / Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
* Understanding of Quality Control testing techniques.
* Previous Biopharmaceutical Industry experience
