Senior Clinical Research Associate

UK/ Home Based

Salary £35,000 - £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CRA to work regionally across Southern England. You will be joining a leading mid-size global contract research organisation, who works closely with their client to deliver customised clinical development solutions. This role offers excellent exposure to all therapeutic indication types. The position of CRA is a crucial role within the department where development of leadership skills is encouraged and supported.

The ideal candidate will have a well rounded and recent therapeutic experience within the areas of Biopharma (mixed therapeutics) experience in respiratory is a plus.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for coordinating Phase I-IV clinical trials
  • Perform all types of site visits including, qualification visits, initiation visits, monitoring visits, motivational visits, audit support visits, and termination visits.
  • Assist with document submissions to local authorities
  • Identify potential sites for a proposed study in conjunction with the Project Team, and conduct feasibility assessment of sites as required
  • To track patient recruitment by contacting investigators as specified for the study, and discuss potential study risks and opportunities with the Project Manager and LCRA
  • To liaise with other appropriate departments including to ensure the smooth running of the study
  •  Mentor and train other Clinical Research Associates
  • To assemble files and ensure documents for the trial master file accurately reflect the progress of the study

Ideal candidate Requirements:

  • A BSc or BA degree in a biomedical or related life science
  • Previous CRA experience within clinical research of approximately 18 Months
  • Good clinical knowledge with an understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience as a CRA on single site and/or multicentre trials
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK
  • Good clinical knowledge with an understanding of medical terminology
  • An understanding of the basics of physiology and pharmacology


This is a permanent, full time office/home role based in which travel required around the UK of which you will need a full clean UK driving Licence.
