Market leading international medical communications agency seeks a Lead Medical Writer / Scientific Project Leader to join their team at their Cheshire head office.

Requirements:

Our client is a market leading international medical communications agency. Business growth leads them to seek a Lead Medical Writer / Scientific Project Leader to join their team at their Cheshire head office.They are looking for candidates with a proven ability for leading a scientific services project team in the delivery of clear, accurate and creative work on global accounts.

Our client provides comprehensive and innovative medical communication solutions to the healthcare industry. They value the importance of building long-term relationships with clients, key experts in science and medicine, and within their own teams. The ideal candidate would have an editorial background, but be interested in client facing and overseeing the project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of multiple projects or programs of work in accordance with individual project briefs and overall account priorities
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to address client needs
  • Build influential relationships through the application of strategic thinking
  • Point of client contact for scientific expertise and advice
  • Responsible for supplying clients with the smooth delivery of editorial content, so some project management will be required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree (science, preferably life science); PhD or MSc
  • Previous experience in an editorial team within a healthcare agency environment
  • Leadership skills
  • High level of drive, motivation and initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to objectively assimilate information
  • Ability to accept and act upon constructive feedback
  • Proficiency in delivering high-quality written work
  • Presentation skills
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
