Our developing client, with a broad portfolio of products seeks an experienced UK Medical Affairs MD who has already sucessfully worked as a Director or Medical Affairs Lead within the UK business portfolio - Ideally across a range of theraputic areas.

Are you seeking a truly innovating and positive career step within Medical Affairs in a growth European start up organisation?

Our growth client, with an established range of products and brands globally is building further within the European HQ in London - Preparing for mutiple launches and product introductions in several therautic areas.

You will be a key member of the local business leadership team, heavily contributing to the medical development of the commercial and business strategy for the entire UK business.

You will be responsible for budgets and developing the UK Medical Affairs team from its inception and continual growth and development as the business grows with future planned launches across a range of products.

This UK Medical Director opportunity is a result of continued upscale within our clients developing European business needs.

You will demonstrate proven leadership experience within Medical Affairs in the UK, plus strong EU/Country level Medical Affairs experience - Including;

  • Building a Medical Affairs team
  • Budget responsibilities
  • Proven product launch experience in the UK / Europe
  • Pre/post registration clinical experience and marketed experience across various therapeutic areas
  • Sign off experience

Additional key skills required include:

A very strong, open, collaborative and team ethic work mentality, together with excellent scientific/development support abilities and knowledge sharing abilities within a group.

Desired background:

  • Experienced UK MD with Medical Affairs / Post registration clinical experience
  • 4+ Years UK experience at level of - AD/Medical Director, Medical Affairs Head
  • 7+ Years combined industry experience - Preferably within an innovative healthcare sector
  • Experience in Team builds / Launches / Budget Responsibilities
  • Solid working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and associated EU laws/regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of the NHS environment and/or other EU markets
  • Additional Devices experience – Beneficial, but not essential
