Our client is an international medical communications agency who counts amongst its many accolades being one the UK’s Best Places To Work! Due to continued success, they have an opportunity for an agency experience account handler to join their medical education division in their London office.

The Medical Education team manages a variety of science-based educational projects targeted at physicians and internal audiences on behalf of global pharmaceutical companies. They are looking for an Account Manager to join their account team supporting a large global account that covers a mix of peer-reviewed publications, internal communications and congress activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring familiarity with guidelines and regulations (both industry-wide and client-specific) regarding interactions between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals
  • Attaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas and the data available on pharmaceutical products of relevance to client accounts
  • Managing the development and approval of peer-review publications and slide decks, including routing publications through the approval process, delegating tasks within the team, tracking the status of projects and managing timelines, checking publications and slides for accuracy and consistency, participating in the planning of future publications
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and authors
  • Participating in financial management of client accounts, including revenue forecasting

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • A biological science degree is essential
  • Candidates must have worked as a Senior Account Executive or Account Manager in a healthcare communications agency, in a role that included work on scientific/medical publications
  • Candidates must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to present information in a clear, precise and logical way
  • Effective time management and organisational skills are required
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and available for occasional international travel
