We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team at our UK office in Reading.   

This position will work as a member of an international team of attorneys and paraprofessionals responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to the business.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal Counsel you will be working within a fast paced and dynamic team responsible for the commercial relationship with clinical trials sites. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiation of agreements with PRA's clients, vendors and subcontractors. 
  • Client Service – delivering excellent service levels and personal and professional maturity to develop and maintain strong relationships with key business clients.
  • Communicate and explain legal/budgetary issues to internal and external parties per department guidelines and ensure country specific laws and regulations are followed
  • Problem Solving – helping the business to achieve its objectives by successfully resolving complex problems, including indentifying and analysing key business and legal issues and providing practical advice to appropriate levels of management on options to achieve business objectives.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a legal discipline
  • Previous experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department, with substantial transactional experience in contracting with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies in connection with the performance of clinical trials
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
